A Frustration For Parents On A Leave
Becoming parents are the most challenging at the same time fulfilling role a person could experience. From the complicated budgeting of money to changing your child’s nasty diapers, being a parent needs a lot of hard work. On the other hand, your time needs to be well managed. Sometimes, when your child gets sick, you’d need to sacrifice not going to work and patiently watch over them as they get better. That simply means, leaving much work at the office and the worst, if it won’t be considered as a paid leave. parental unpaid leave are just frustrating to deal with. In Central European countries, they are dedicated in providing paid parental leave. Sadly, not all are interested to do so, as it may affect business most particularly the smaller ones. Employers also fear that some employees may take advantage of it, particularly women. It would take so much debates and government agreements for this to be taken into actions. Some countries simply ignore this because it won’t be beneficial for them financially. I hope the saying “no work, no pay” should not be taken literally all the time.
