My husband and I went to Melbourne with our 6 year old for a week break for spring vacation. We booked a suite room at the Hilton on the park. It included a buffet style breakfast and free Wi-Fi. The good thing is that the Tram is nearby that can take you into the city as well as a short inexpensive cab ride. The hotel restaurant is wonderful! It was great to have it close by especially with our 6 year old who seems to always be hungry and the prices are great! The best part of Melbourne I think is the shopping and there are some great local shops and cafés close to the hotel. My 6 year old loved Spotswood and Scienceworks they were his favorite! We hope to be able to go back soon and see all the things we didn’t get to see when we were there for a week.
